The University of Sheffield Dance society has been nominated for The Tab Society Of The Year 2017-18 award for the work they have done supporting gender equality.
The Dance Society have been recognised for their work with the Snowdrop project, a charity which support survivors of female trafficking, last year raising approximately £3,000. Fundraising included pudding parties, showcases and running inflatable obstacle course.The society also provides a positive and safe environment for women during their classes.
The winner will receive expert mentorship from Bloomberg as well as the chance to spend the day at their office in London. The Tab have partnered with Bloomberg to acknowledge societies’ work to promote LGBTQ+ rights, supporting those with disabilities, representing BAME and empowering women.
