Mazes are a curious mixture of garage pop, sloppy indie and late 90s tv show intros. They claim that sometimes they rehearse, sometimes not and that sometimes they’re all on stage and other times, well, members randomly go missing.
I had been warned that Lafaro were going to be ‘noisy bastards’, and indeed they were. In their own words: “We are very aware of the richness of Sheffield’s musical heritage, and we are very aware that we are fucking destroying it”. The band made no apologies and in this case, quite rightly so.
