Michael Clarke Duncan has sadly passed away at the age of 54.
The actor died on Monday morning in a hospital in Los Angeles, where he was admitted in July after suffering a heart attack.

At over 6 feet tall and weighing nearly 300 pounds, the actor gained a reputation for playing gentle giants on screen. The former bodyguard’s breakthrough role came in 2000, when he starred alongside Tom Hanks in The Green Mile. His performance as the death row inmate John Coffey earned him an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
More recently, he appeared frequently on popular US television shows like Family Guy and Two and a HalfMen.
Our thoughts are with Duncan’s friends and family, who have asked for privacy until a funeral can be held.
