LFW A/W 2011: Aminaka Wilmont

Aminaka Wilmont, made up of husband and wife team Maki Aminaka and Marcus Wilmont, showed their latest collection on the first day of London Fashion Week.

Ditching the ‘pretty girl’ image, all of the models sported a more edgy attitude. With inspiration taken from hunting tribes, the skinny models took to the catwalk with suitably stony looks on their faces.Complete with discolored contact lenses, they did indeed look quite scary.

Despite the predatory look, Aminaka Wilmont’s clothes were definitely the most wearable we saw all day.Washed leather jackets, over-the-knee socks and dresses with twisted arm straps were just some of the pieces that featured in the show.

Already receiving rave reviews from Vogue, their designs are well worth taking note of.
