Onwards and upwards, so they say. The next diet I am going to put to the test is the cabbage soup diet.
I am currently on day three of the diet and it is going OK so far.
As you may have gathered from the title, the staple of this diet is cabbage soup. My soup didn’t taste of anything and is now bright yellow from the amount of turmeric that I added in a desperate bid to create something edible.
It now tastes OK, though I am getting a bit sick of it already.
Along with the soup I am also allowed to eat (only on some days) fruit, vegetables, bananas and steak. Sound random enough for you?
On day one I could eat all the soup, fruit and vegetables that I liked. Day two, however, I was limited to soup, vegetables and a baked potato. That resulted in the rather nice combination of two carrots and half a cucumber… for breakfast.
Nevertheless, I persevered until tea time where my potato became the treat of the day.
This morning I am pleased to say that I was able to have fruit again and my mango, apple and tangerine was a much better alternative than yesterdays early morning treat.
Tomorrow I can have up to eight bananas… yes eight! I don’t understand how this will work but it is such a famous diet that I needed to test it out.
I am feeling like it’s time for some lunch. Good job I have a vat of cabbage soup in my fridge.
