Don’t judge a book…

To follow up on last week’s revelation of the new vintage den in Sheffield, I can reveal that not only is it perfectly legal, it is also a well known company amongst vintage lovers: Vintage.

If you have ever wandered down Oldham Street in Manchester then you will already well aware if this store.

Now they are moving to Sheffield to rival the likes of Freshman’s and Cow.

Or are they? In actual fact, it’s a temporary move; hence the less than ideal décor and shelving arrangements.

There will be a vintage treasure trove until March but this could then become HMV.

As they aren’t willing to shell out on a refurb, due to the fact they may not be there for long, Vintage can offer their clothes at up to 25% less than the other vintage stores around Division Street and West Street.

This can only be a good thing as my loan has long gone and I am living off creative mixtures including a lot of beans and tinned tomatoes.

It’s true that you need to rummage and that some things are definitely more suitable for fancy dress.

Having said that, I pocketed a fantastic sequinned top for just £15 which is a fraction of the high street and definitely more unique.

As long as you don’t mind removing your coat at chilly temperatures to try things on over your clothes, you’re sorted.
