So far… so good

I’m feeling fairly proud of myself at the minute so I thought I’d share why…

Well, as you may have guessed as this is a diet blog, I have been pretty good following my eating plan over ther past few days.

I have stuck to the diet and have planned all my meals… I think I need a reward.

I wish my reward was a room of chocolate but instead it is 3 days at Disneyland – starting Monday (which I can’t wait for, but I have such a craving for chocolate at this moment it is all I can think about). I fear that this will throw me off course so I have decided to eat what I like there (within reason) and try a different 3-day fad diet when I get back.

Then I won’t feel guilty because I’m not trying to stick to anything anyway; plus, with all the candyfloss and chips I could eat at Disney it is a given that I would fail – so I’m not going to try!

I though I’d share with you what I have been eating over the past few days – you definately won’t believe that it constitutes as a diet – and then I’ll tell you what day one of the forthcoming diet is. The difference is pretty scary.

So Sunday was a Red day (Slimming world) which meant I could eat all of this – and it was part of the diet plan:

Breakfast: Bacon (free if grilled) sandwich (2 small brown toast = 1 B choice) + brown sauce (2 syns)

Lunch: Ham (free), cheese (admittedly fairly small measurement = 1 A choice) salad (all free) + balsamic vinegar (free)

Packet of skips (5 syns) and 1 light alpen chocolate cereal bar (half a B choice)

Tea: Grilled chicken breast (free) and roasted vegetables (free)

1 light alpen chocolate cereal bar (half a B choice)

I also snacked on fruit all day – an apple, two tangerines and a banana.

Monday was a Green day and I ate:

Breakfast: 2 weetabix (I B choice) with semi-skimmed milk (A choice)

3 Ryvita (I B choice) + 5 laughing cow triangles (1 A choice)

Lunch: Pasta ‘n’ Sauce

Tea: Vegetable curry and rice (made with green beans, carrot, brocolli and onion + tinned tomatoes and curry spices)

2 Freddos (11 syns)

I also ate a banana, a mango and 2 tangerines.

Seem simple? It’s almost too good to be true. I’ll let you know how much I lose – before I jet off to Disneyland.

Now, just for a comparison between a healthy diet plan and a rather more strict diet plan – this is what I’ll be eating next week on day 1 of the new diet:

Breakfast: a black coffee of tea

half a grapefruit

a slice of toast with peanut butter

Lunch: One slice of toast with half a cup (american measurement) of tuna

Tea: a small amount of chicken and 2 half cups of vegetables

A small scoop of vanilla ice cream

So no snacks and I’ll be starving all day… but atleast I’ll have my ice cream to look forward to.
