Tame your winter locks

The winter weather can often make your hair dull and dry, so here are some tips to help replenish and strengthen your luscious locks.
1. We’ve all heard our hairdressers say it, but heat protection spray really does help stop breakage and split ends. Whether you’re blow drying, curling or straightening your hair, you should be using a spray that will prevent hair becoming brittle and damaged. Try Tresemme’s Heat Defence spray, priced at only £4.29.
2. Another way to stop you pulling your hair out is by combing hair in the shower. Firstly condition your hair concentrating on the ends and then simply run through using a plastic wide-tooth comb to get rid of any knots. Work through your hair in sections until you’re tangle free, so when it comes to styling you don’t end up wrestling with your hair brush.

3. If your hair is in some desperate need of repair, the Aussie 3 minute miracle treatment is perfect for reconstructing and conditioning dry hair. It’s quick and easy to use, and makes a noticeable difference, leaving your hair feeling soft and shiny.

4. For split ends, although treatments and serums may help, the only real remedy is to snip them off. If you can’t make it to the salon, you might want to brave a temporary DIY fix. Take small sections of the hair, and twist round your finger to reveal the offending hairs, and simply chop of the ends, using a sharp pair of scissors. Although be careful not to get too scissor happy!
