We like to think think that we aren’t your stereotypical Lifestyle Editors, but one whisper of blagged press passes for London Fashion Week and Vicki was on a health kick and Kate was running round H&M panic buying.
Fearful of entering a world where everyone is skinny, beautiful, wearing designer head to toe and glares at you like Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada if you ask, do or wear the wrong thing – it’s safe to say we were stressed on the way to LFW at Somerset House on February 18.
Twenty two surreal hours later, and in a state of sleep deprivation and food coma we had decided that we couldn’t have been more wrong.
Yes, it was glamorous, but everyone was lovely. Only the models were super skinny and although there were some good looking, extravagant folks about, most people looked fairly high street.
In fact, with our free canvas bags filled with flyers, the whole thing felt distinctly like a posh Freshers’ Fair.
