Newsdesk Special – Sports Officer restricts media access to Varsity 2012

In an ongoing row between Sheffield Students’ Union Officer Ben Baldwin and Forge Media the officer revoked the right for reporters to have pitch side and player access during the week of Varsity. This means Forge TV will not be allowed to take any camera’s to Hillsborough for the Football on Wednesday.
Baldwin said reporters would be allowed to attend the matches but would not be allowed to use press passes to gain access to the pitch side or players while they were on the pitch.

We have reaction from Footballs Club Captain Daniel Padfield, and speak to the Members of forge press who were asked to leave the coverage of the events at Ponds Forge.

In further developments Forge Press have been asked to stop tweeting from the Trampolining this evening or leave the event.
