Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United have put their rivalries aside in a new project with Sheffield City Council to encourage people with hidden disabilities to attend football matches.
The Team Up! initiative is a new campaign that is helping support people with mental health and other hidden disabilities to ensure they have a positive experience at matches.
Both clubs are doing this by providing a range of support measures, which includes giving stewards, ticket office and shop staff awareness training.
The initiative to work with frontline staff in football stadia is the first of its kind and has been welcomed by the English Football League and Sports Grounds Safety Authority.
The local pilot is in conjunction with a national move by the English Football League who are working with the national organisation MIND to raise awareness and to support people with mental health needs in sport.
The scheme will be launched on July 10 during Yorkshire Safeguarding week.
